Nutrition Approach
Have you ever taken to the internet or social media with questions about nutrition, only to end up more confused than before? If you have a pulse, the answer to that question is probably yes. Online spaces are full of nutrition misinformation, conflicting information, and plain old information overload. I draw on my nutrition education, dietetic training, and published nutrition research to help you make simple, impactful changes that transform your health.
My guiding beliefs:
Autonomy. You know your body best — my job is to support you in reaching your goals. You’ll get expertise and encouragement, without the judgement.
Simplicity. Focusing on the main dietary drivers of health will almost always make a bigger impact than any supplement or restrictive diet.
Bounty. Food is so much more than a tool for health! It brings connection, joy, and pleasure to our lives. We’ll focus on adding nutritious foods, not taking away.
Integrity. My nutrition recommendations are supported by high-quality nutrition studies published in peer-reviewed journals. I don’t cherry-pick, rely on animal studies, or use anecdotal evidence to back up my recommendations. If you’re ever curious to see for yourself, just ask!
Flexibility. There is more than one way to get from point A to point B. The best route to take is the one that is realistic and sustainable for your lifestyle, food preferences, budget, and anything else that’s important to you.
Clarity. Here, you’re marked safe from random nutrition trends. I’ll never tell you to drink protein coffee, shove cottage cheese into everything (unless you want to!), or to avoid seed oils at all costs.
