Katie Rial, MS, RDN

I began my career in health care consulting, a fortuitous decision that was the first step toward a career in nutrition (although I didn’t know it just yet). The problems facing health care are daunting, and this system is far from perfect. But, I was inspired by the impact that dedicated health care providers had on their patients, and future vision where preventative, individualized care could be the norm. Eventually, the pull to be a part of this change and have a more direct impact became too strong to ignore.

As a lifelong lover of all things food and cooking, a strong believer in the power of nutrition to dramatically improve health, and a people person, becoming a Registered Dietitian was a no-brainer. I returned to graduate school and obtained my Masters in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity from USC.

The health challenges unique to women have long been under-studied and ignored. Luckily, that is beginning to change! We learn more every day about the importance of nutrition in managing PCOS, reducing chronic health risks associated with aging and menopause, supporting fertility and healthy pregnancy, and so much more. Translating this growing body of research into actionable, sustainable diet and lifestyle changes that meaningfully improve the health of women is my bread and butter (pun intended).

In a world where nutrition misinformation is at an all-time high, making choices about how to nourish your body can be stressful and confusing. I believe in sustainable nutrition recommendations (no fad, trending, or unnecessarily restrictive diets here!) that are supported by high-quality research. We will work together to find personalized solutions that work for you, not against you. You can find out more about my approach to nutrition.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the farmer’s market ogling the beautiful produce, experimenting in my kitchen, on a hike, curled up on the couch with a good book, or (very badly) practicing guitar.
